The Story of the Collection
Haute-Saintonge is a natural and historical region straddling the current departments of Charente-Maritime and Charente in southwestern France and the Poitou-Charentes region. It is a sparsely populated rural area and is largely made up of vineyards and forests. It is bordered by the estuary of the Gironde. It is an excellent area for landscape photography, because the lights are unique and extraordinary.
